The Evenhill is a pub, restaurant and hotel in Canterbury - the location makes it a perfect get away from the city life. From the hotel you can enjoy the views of the surrounding country side, with scenes that can be appreciated in all seasons. There is a bus stop opposite which is great for getting in to Canterbury city centre. The hotel also has a car park on site which is very convenient. Information for current prices, room availability and the restaurant menu can be found on the website .

At the back of the pub the rooms are in a barn conversion, from the outside the building has a lot of character. The building is from the 16th century and has been restored. The rooms have en suite bathroom facilities, TVs, desks with chairs, a kettle and complementary selection of teas/coffees. The rooms have air conditioning and heating.* Different types of rooms are available depending on individual requirements these can be seen on the website. The rooms have a really cosy feel created by the décor and the hotel is a great place to stay in winter. In summer the garden area is open.

There is the option to book breakfast with your room, this is served in the pub restaurant.** There are also high chairs for toddlers. The restaurant has a country feel to it with the brick fireplace and wooden stairs. The breakfast includes the option to help yourself to cereal, juices, tea and coffee. The waitress is able to take your order for the full English breakfast and other hot breakfast items offered on the menu. The food on offer is perfect to get you in gear for your day.

The staff are very friendly at this hotel and it really adds to the service. The hotel is great for a short stay in Canterbury. The main historic attractions such as the Cathedral are all close to this hotel. The shopping centre in the city is only a 5-10 minutes drive away.

  • It may be a good idea to check with the hotel staff how to use the heating in winter as the instructions are a bit confusing
  • **Check at time of booking
