I finally know the reason why we have that saying 'the cherry on top'. There is something about a cherry on top of a cake that makes all the difference. As much as I like a pain aux raisin, I don't think I would have chosen it had there not been a glace cherry to top it off. I was the same as a child, constantly raiding my grandpa's cupboard for his glace cherries.

Anyway, back to the pastry. It was standard; nothing out of this world, but for 1.80, I was not expecting the world, just something very nice to eat. And that's exactly what I got. With a cherry on top.
