Our experience at Elys's Restaurant on Three was not quite up to its usual standard this visit. My mum ordered an egg mayonnaise sandwich for 3.99, but was very dissatisfied with the results. Inside the wholemeal bread was a couple of slices of cucumber a spattering of rocket, and the measliest helping of egg mayonnaise you ever did see.

It was like someone thought they were spreading a bit of butter, rather than making a filling. On top of that, when I checked the receipt, I noticed that she had been charged 4.85 for a Wiltshire ham sandwich. To give Elys their due, when Mum went up to complain, they swiftly gave her a refund and a new sandwich with a healthy portion of egg mayonnaise, all of which tasted very nice.
