Our experience at Elys's Restaurant on Three was not quite up to its usual standard this visit. My mum ordered an egg mayonnaise sandwich for £3.99, but was very dissatisfied with the results. Inside the wholemeal bread was a couple of slices of cucumber a spattering of rocket, and the measliest helping of egg mayonnaise you ever did see.

It was like someone thought they were spreading a bit of butter, rather than making a filling. On top of that, when I checked the receipt, I noticed that she had been charged £4.85 for a Wiltshire ham sandwich. To give Elys their due, when Mum went up to complain, they swiftly gave her a refund and a new sandwich with a healthy portion of egg mayonnaise, all of which tasted very nice.
