Once a clay pit, Milton Keynes's former brick-making site was filled in, raised, and transformed into an amphitheatre. The National Bowl opened in 1979, and is a mega entertainment venue. Just to make it even more awesome, plans are currently underway to add sports facilities and the UK's largest water park.

Although that is still some years off yet, there is still plenty to look forward to in 2014, for fast approaching is the Electric Daisy Carnival . The two-day even on the 12th & 13th July is spread across three stages with over forty DJs, such as Avicii, Calvin Harris, and Like Mike. It is set to be the biggest LED experience the UK has ever seen, with fireworks, lasers, and pyrotechnics.

Far more than just a music festival, there will be interactive art installations, costumed performers, theatre productions, and carnival rides. General admission is £65 Saturday, £60 Sunday, or £120 for the weekend. It is an 18 plus only event, starting at midday till 11pm.
