The best EDM line-up comes to London for the first time
Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), probably couldn't be further from its 'hippy' sounding title. Instead, behold an international electronic dance music (EDM) festival, which is held in the height of the festival season, slap bang in the middle of capital (or more specifically, Olympic Park).
This summer (2013) EDC is coming to London for the first time, it's 2012 equivalent in Las Vegas lasted 3 days and attracted a massive 300,000 festival go-ers and ravers.
Unfortunately, London is only graced with one day, however don't let this put you off! EDM is slowly creeping it's way into commercial waters and the mainstream likes of Will I Am and J.Lo are dipping their toes in. Luckily EDC, will be host to some of the more true trance artisits such as Kill the Noise, Tiesto, Alesso, Chuckie, Nervo and more.
You can expect the whole carnival experience with rise, art installations and hundreds of costumed performers with wacky face paint! And state of the art pyrotechnics and sound design. Not to be missed! Standard tickets are now priced at £63, fairly standard for a one day event. Although are set to increase soon.
This will be first year at EDC, but am keen to try out some more. What festivals are you going to this summer? Leave comments below.
