Two 'Nano-brew' stouts and a pint of IPA
Electric Bear Brewing Company have been craftily making beers for a couple of years now, but their brewery and taproom is still a hidden gem of the city. Venture in to their premises and you can enjoy a pint of any of the ten beers on tap, right in the shadow of the brewing equipment. Bear are famed for their super-friendly staff, and the whole place practically vibrates with creativity and friendliness. With the head brewer also responsible for all of the artwork on their creations, you can tell that this is a place run by passionate and multi-talented people.

Beers a brewing
The comfy but no- nonsense taproom is a great place to drop in for a swift pint after work, or to settle in for a few beers of an evening. There 's a retro games console to enhance the experience, and there are always great tunes playing. Food is served twice a month by local companies, and ther is a wide range of evenings put on, ranging from vinyl days to an all-day Sunday rave with a live DJ.
TAPROOM AND SHOP WEBPAGE

Several different brews in the Taproom shop
The variety of brews on offer or in the works is impressive, and the brewers are always seeking new tastes and combinations of hops and flavours. I enjoyed a 6% IPA called 'Over the Clouds' today, which was heady but very refreshing. The staff are always generous in offering tasters of new drinks, and I had a tipple of two stouts, recently brewed as 'nano-brews' this week.

Some of the many events about to be hosted
This is a company going from strength to strength, and creating a wonderfully enjoyable space. It is tucked away in an industrial estate by the river Avon, and has a large car park to cater for visitors. It is, therefore, the perfect destination after a day exploring Bath, or strolling/cycling along the Bath to Bristol Cycle Path.

A working brewery, with all its paraphernalia
The taproom opens on Fridays and at the weekend, but the shop is open most days if you want to pop in to stock up. There is some high quality merch on offer, as well as ten brews on offer at any one time.

Two of the latest craft beers
As I write, I am enjoying two of the latest and greatest IPA'S on tap. 'User Guy'd' is a heady and tangy DIPA at 9.4%, and marks brewer Guy's first anniversary with Electric Bear. The other is the lighter and more citrus 'Above the Clouds', and very lovely it is, too. I am very much looking forward to a visit to Electric Bear soon, as Spring breaks across Bath. I wonder what they will have on offer by then?
