Want to spend Easter with the family but don't want to spend money? Take a trip down to
Merton Abbey Mills on Sunday 20th April for Thrills at the Mills.
There will be something there for everybody, whether your two, twelve, twenty, or even two hundred. Free activities will be available throughout the day between 11am-5pm.
In the Colour House Theatre there will be toddler folk music and a kids' disco, while outside you can listen to live bands on the bandstand.
Take a look inside the Watermill, learn about its history, and while you're there don't miss out on the opportunity to have a go at clay model making with Claire Bradfield and Stephen Llewellyn, who run
pottery classes at the weekend. A number of other arts and crafts activities will also be going on.
Deen City Farm will be on site with some of its petting animals, and there will be a bouncy castle to get you bouncing as high as the Easter Bunny. Talking about the Easter Bunny, he appears to have misplaced some of his eggs. Can you help him hunt for them? I'm sure there will be a reward.
While all these activities are free, you might just be tempted to by something nice from the market. There are craft stalls, food stalls, beauty stalls, jewellery stalls. Go on, treat yourself.
