Head along to the Sheen Lane Centre and you'll find a large hall filled with stalls, all piled high with interesting items. Among other things there'll be jewellery, ceramics, framed pictures, books, postcards, clothing, toys and bric-a-brac. If you've got an eye for spotting an antique, then you may well come away with some exciting treasure. If you haven't, it is still worth having a browse, as there is most definitely something to appeal to everyone.
A lot of the friendly stallholders are regulars who are extremely passionate about their stock and more than happy to talk about it. If you spot a must-have item and need to get some cash out, there are plenty of ATMs on the nearby Upper Richmond Road.
The market is completely indoors and undercover, so it's something you can enjoy year round, come rain or shine. Plus, there is a counter serving homemade refreshments too.
To get to the market, there are regular buses running through East Sheen that stop a few minutes' walk away on Upper Richmond Road, or alternatively Mortlake Train Station is a 5 minute walk along Sheen Lane. If you're coming by car, then parking is on the nearby residential streets, but you may need to put a little money in the parking meter, depending on what time you get there. The market runs from 9am until 1.30pm and is free to enter.
