If you have ever been to a restaurant more than once, you will remember instantly if you have seen the menu before, and you might even order the same things as you did the previous time. You may be happy about this, but would it keep you coming back?
If variety is the spice of your life, Ducksoup should definitely find its way into your restaurant address book.
They change their menu regularly - very regularly (in fact nearly daily). The reason being they do something very simple, yet something others seem not to do, they base their menus on the produce that is available at the time. This means they get the best out of the available ingredients, creating dishes that are simple in cooking style, but are bursting with flavour.
They apply the same theory to their wine list, where the wines change as frequently as the menu. The focus is on natural and bio-dynamic wines, so you may find that it is quite possible you won't have the same bottle twice either...
Look out for their special events too, especially the supper clubs, where the dining experience is enhanced by chefs working with seasonal produce they like at that particular time of year, creating signature dishes and more.
My favourite touch is the record and vinyl in the restaurant for you to play, should you wish. It gives the feeling of a homely living room, where you are more or less free to interract with the environment around you - quite different to restaurants where you are guided to your table and the only place you can move to is the bathroom.
If you like the sound of it, look at the menu for today and make a booking, remember it will be probably different tomorrow...
