Event:
Foraging for Cocktails

For those of you who grow your own food on an allotment or in the back garden, what do you usually decide to make with your harvest? Jam and chutney? Pies, salad, cake? How about a martini?

No? Well now is your chance to give it a try. Reverend JW Simpson, a cocktail bar on Goodge Street, is running a Drink What You Sow workshop on the 26th October. For 30 you will be able to test out all sorts of drinks made from fresh food foraged by your own fair hand.

As part of the workshop, you will be asked to go foraging the woods, hedgerows, and your own back garden. Choose anything from edible plants, nuts, vegetables, or fruit. Then on the day, you will meet with the rest of the group at 6.45pm, and cocktail connoisseurs will whip up fantastic beverages out of the eight most interesting ingredients (make sure to let them know what you are bringing before hand). Everyone will vote on which was their favourite, and the winner will make it onto the Reverend JW Simpson. After that, you will have the chance to mix up your own drinks.
