Trigger Happy comedian is to make a starring appearance at a new-look theatre in Staffordshire which has just undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment. The English television star, writer and broadcaster, who was actually born in Beirut, Lebanon, is embarking on his first tour since 2011 which will include an appearance at
Tamworth Assembly Rooms in March 2020 as part of the theatre's opening season following its prolonged closure. Tickets for the nationwide tour go on sale on September 20 at 10am and are expected to sell out fast. is best known as the creator of the hugely successful Trigger Happy TV series, a hidden camera show that was sold to over 70 countries worldwide. The UK tour will provide fans with a rare opportunity to see him live.
His one-man show, entitled Travel and Comedy in the Danger Zone, will see Dom talking about his exploits as a serial globe-trotter and seeker of dangerous travel spots. The rip-roaring travelogue features Dom's stories from his childhood home in Lebanon – where he went to school with Osama Bin Laden – to North Korea, Chernobyl and Cambodia. Fans can expect Dom's holiday snaps to provide comedy coupled with a sense of danger. The best-selling author will be available to meet fans after the show to sign copies of his latest book, The Hezbollah Hiking Club. Dom has remained enormously popular since his pioneering Channel 4 show, Trigger Happy TV, while his three travel books have brought him to a wider audience.

Dom will be taking to the stage of the new-look Tamworth Assembly Rooms as part of the opening season after the venue underwent a major £5million refurbishment. The ambitious project to bring the historic Tamworth Assembly Rooms into the 21st century includes extensions to the side and rear to create a more modern and versatile building, with more space for a wider variety of events and entertainment.
