Dolphins have more fun

Now this pub is not recommended for its stunning architecture, stunning views or even its fashionable drinks list - as it doesn't really have any of these. No, it doesn't need them either. This pub is here simply because it is fun. It is the type of place where you leave your hang-ups at the door and join in with the rest of the punters in the Dolphin - for many, Hackney's best pub.

Why? Well, it has karaoke, party DJ's, and drink - and the clientele are a mixture of locals and trendy types. It is often open until the wee small hours and beyond (sometimes an eye-watering 4.30am at weekends!), so what more could you ask for? ,

It's a pretty normal and unassuming place to pay a visit to during the day, the kind of place you would go to watch the football on TV - not really somewhere to take a first date to impress them. Should you still be thirsty once closing time has come however, or you know that you have missed the tube and are going to have to take the night bus/ taxi anyway - this is the type of place that will see you through.

There are plenty of bottled beers, sometimes BBQ is served up too, and some common choices on tap, and no cocktails in sight - but good times, and maybe new best friends are waiting for you in this up-all-night part of Mare Street - now tell me - who needs sleep?
