Work Selected by Six Pairs of Expert Eyes

The Discerning Eye is an educational charity founded in 1990 with the aim of bringing greater appreciation in the visual arts, and encouraging debate about its purpose in society. Every year they hold an exhibition that includes lots of lively debates, competitions, and prizes. It features public works from open submissions, which have been independently selected by prominent figures in the art world. This includes two artists, two critics, and two collectors. Each chosen artist will have their own separate space, creating six individual exhibitions within the whole.

This year's Discerning Eye Exhibition will be held at Mall Galleries between the 13th - 23rd November. Admission is free, and focusses specifically on small scale works. Everything on display is for sale, with all the proceeds going towards funding future events.
