I love watching Heston Bluthenthal on television. His shows bring food to life in the wackiest of ways. It isn't just his food that is mad, but the entire dinning experience he treats you to. His feats have taken place in all sorts of places, from royal Courts to chocolate factories. One of the most memorable is when he served his guests way up in the clouds.
I never thought it would be possible to have such an experience unless you were lucky enough to find one of Heston's golden tickets, but it looks like I was wrong. Now you can have your very own
Dinner in the Sky .
Forget drinks at the Vertigo 42 bar or dinner at the Shard, until the 21st September, you have the chance to enjoy a culinary feast while suspended one hundred feet above London. Five Michelin star restaurants will be serving four course breakfasts (£50 pp), three course lunches (£200pp), five course dinners (£250), or champagne with canapés (£75 pp).
Restaurants taking part include The Modern Pantry, L'Atelie, Angler, Benares Restaurant, Club Gascon, and Alyn Williams at The Westbury. Expect meals such as a hazlenut & tonka bean croissant, yellow fin tuna tartare, Masala grilled aubergine steaks, and Rose and raspberry Steamed yogurt.
The table fits up to twenty-two people, making for the perfect party or corporate event.
