Digital technology has had a major impact on the way art has evolved. From the 3rd July - 14th September, The Barbican Centre will explore how this technical wizardry has shaped art, film, architecture, music and games through an interactive and immersive exhibition.
You will learn how a
Digital Revolution has produced dynamic developments such as augmented reality, artificial intelligence, wearable technologies, and 3-D printing.
Remind yourself how far technology has come by playing retro games like
Pac Man and
Space Invaders, and compare it to the stunning visual effects to Oscar Winning films, including Christopher Nolan's
Inception and Alfonso Cuarón's
Gravity. There will also be a chance to contribute to commissioned pieces from Google's DevArt to a music installation by will.i.am.
Tickets are £12.50 for adults with concessionary and child prices also available. In addition, there will be several film screenings on selected dates:
