Development in Action is an education charity that aims to engage young people in global issues and promote global citizenship. They offer volunteer placement in both the UK and India, which provides a greater appreciation and understanding of different cultures, as well as giving young people a platform on which to be heard.
On the 27th August, DiA are hosting their long-awaited Summer Session, featuring live music from acoustic musician, Paul Freeland. Paul is a solo artist, but currently on the lookout to join a band. He will be joined by Shauna Keane, a folk singer from Ireland, who moved to London to pursue a late-realised music dream.
The fundraising party will be held in the basement of Shoreditch's Cornershop Bar with a suggested donation of £7 at the door.
If you would like to get involved with Development in Action, there are many volunteering opportunities. In particular, they are currently looking for blog writers.
