Be Serenaded by a Slavic Recital
The two Slavic musicians, Magdalena Filipczak and Viktor Bijelovic made their UK debut in 2011 at St. Martins in the Field, and since then have been making regular appearances both here and across the rest of Europe. They will be once again returning to Britain to perform - rather fittingly - Britten and Lutosławski's hundredth year anniversary.
Both born in 1913, the English composer, Benjamin Britten and Polish composer, Witold Lutosławski will be celebrated with a recital of Reveille and Subito. Other performances will include the works of Chopin, Debussy, Wieniawski, Stauss, and Elgar for an inspiring evening of classical elegance and mastery.
Tickets are £10 and can be booked by calling 44 7828180642.
Born in 1985, Magdalena Filipczak is considered 'one of the most outstanding young Polish violinists of her generation', while the pianist, Viktor Bijelovic, has already won several prestigious international compositions for his solo and chamber music.
