Now two hundred years old, both Wilhelm Richard Wagner and Giuseppe Verdi are being paid tribute by the Royal Opera House. Stephen Fry is curating this year's Deloitte Ignite , which is celebrating the two nineteenth century composers in new and exciting ways over a four week period.

Between the 3rd - 29th September you'll be able to listen to live radio broadcasts, take part in workshops, and see amazing pop-up performances. Simon Callow will start off proceedings with his one man show, Inside Wagner's Head . Tickets to the opera are between £7-£25, and lasts an hour and a half.

Throughout the season, you will have free access to The Ring Cyclotrope , a kinetic installation based on Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen. Similar to a zoetrope, the device will show film footage from recorded operatic productions. Other free events include workshops, choral music , and lunch time concerts.
