Located in Hull, the Deep was opened in March 2002 and is the world's only submarium.
Home to 3500 fish, sharks and rays, the Deep overlooks the River Humber. It boasts audio visual presentations dotted around the interior. The Deep is open daily between 10am and 6pm.
We are frequent visitors to the deep. The exhibits are great and very informative. Walking through the underwater tunnel is awesome as fish, sharks and rays swim all around you. Once at the end, there is a choice to make; walk up the stairs or go up in the lift rising up through fish swimming round.
If you are hungry, you could always call in for lunch at the reasonably priced castaways cafe - this is on the third floor and is open from 10am until17:30. The cafe offers hot breakfasts, hot meals, salads, snacks, sandwiches and hot and cold drinks. Our meal for a family of four came to just over £20.
The Deeps has their very own Department Store selling all sorts of trinkets, gifts and items to help you remember your day.
The Deep offers groups the opportunity to sleepover, so if you fancy sharing sleeping quarters with fish and sharks, then don't hesitate to get in touch.
