Built on a disused industrial estate on the grounds of Morden Hall, Deen City Farm is a very popular place to visit, especially for families. Young children love to take pony rides, feed the animals and pet the small creatures. The farm shop indicates how child oriented the place is my the sheer number of soft and plastic toys, kids' books, activity packs, and stationery.



In the last few months, however, the shop has had a bit of a face lift. Now, instead of just targeting a child audience, they have many things that will appeal adults as well, and that comes in the form of produce. First they introduced homemade jams and chutneys, and now they have started selling their own reared meat for the first time too.



They sell various cuts of meat, including beef steaks, pork sausages, lamb, and goat. I have been interested in trying goat for some time, but have never found anywhere to get it before, so I am looking forward to seeing what it it tastes like. I have heard that it is comparable to lamb.

To promote their new meat section, the farm is currently holding 15% sale. Simply take the voucher into the shop to get your money off. At the moment the farm shop and classrooms are currently switching places. While refurbishments go on the shop has a temporary home in the cafe.
