Dare Café situated on Headingley's bustling Otley Road, is somewhere you might tend to overlook amongst all the pubs and fast food chains, so I am more than glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Its unassuming exterior shows no signs of the delicious food inside.

Upon entering we are greeted warmly by the young, friendly staff and immediately showed to our table. The exposed brickwork, jazz music and artwork on the wall all contributes to the warm, relaxed atmosphere.

To eat, we ordered nachos to share which were quite possibly the best I'd ever tasted; you can never have too much cheese or guacamole. Then for the main course, I went for the beef burrito, a hard decision as there was so much choice. Dare café offers a wide range of meals and my vegetarian friend was also well catered for.

With Mexican, pastas, pizzas, salads and more, you really are spoilt for choice. The burrito, served with salad, rice and salsa, was delicious. The portion sizes are massive, able to satisfy the biggest of appetites.

When presented with the dessert menu, I couldn't possibly have had anything else to eat (the burrito well and truly filled me up), but with puddings such as chocolate fudge cake and home-made ice cream available I can surely say I will be coming back for more.
