After two months of busy University life, I needed to find a suitable place to take my visiting parents for lunch. I would normally be inclined to head into the town centre, but instead we made a trip to Headingly; what we found was a haven of individual shops and cafes. We headed to Dare after being enticed in by its simplicity. Despite the small interior, the character and atmosphere of the place is warm and welcoming.
My parents opted for burritos and coffee, while I chose a seafood pizza and a healthy pint of pineapple juice. All dishes were well-made and the diversity of the menu was very appealing. We treated ourselves to a sticky toffee pudding for dessert.
I recommend Dare Cafe for any kind of lunch with any company. Whether you're taking your friends, parents or potential date out, enjoy Dare's rustic setting and laid-back atmosphere. So, if you're more used to the city centre and find yourself out in Headingly, don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try Dare Cafe.
