Tune into Facebook Live to catch an interview with famed artistic director Orit Azaz.



As part of Birmingham-based DanceXchange's Dance Insights online programme, its Artist in Residence Johnny Autin will be in conversation with Azaz on Wednesday June 3 at 4pm on DanceXchange's Facebook page .

The Facebook Live discussion will hear insights on making dance productions from Azaz, who is an independent artistic director, theatre maker and facilitator with a long standing relationship with NoFit State Circus .



Azaz led the creative development of the company's outdoor large scale work, including Parklife, Barricade and Open House.

She also created Something Good as part of Birmingham Cathedral's 300th anniversary celebrations, working with artists and residents of all faiths and none and was co-artistic director of the pilot Shop Front Festival in Coventry in 2018.

As the current artistic director of Imagineer's Bridge project 2018-20, Azaz has used a collision of art, engineering, circus and activism and will be able to give more revelations into how she creates this kind of work for dancers, choreographers and lovers of the arts.

Azaz is also artistic associate for Bloomsbury Festival, inviting academics, artists and residents to explore creative project ideas.



This Facebook Live discussion is part of a series of online insights shared by Autin from playlists to performances. French dance artist and choreographer Autin is the creative director of Birmingham-based Autin Dance Theatre and you can view more of his events at DanceXchange here .

On Tuesday June 2, Autin will takeover DanceXchange's Instagram account so followers can experience a day in lockdown with the artist in residence.
