Promoting the spirit and diversity of dance from different cultures, the
Dance Around The World Festival is a community event that celebrates all forms of traditional dance. Taking place at Cecil Sharp House in Camden Town on the Weekend of the 2nd-3rd November, it will be two days of energetic performances and workshops. Dance all day and dance all night (or at least between 10am-11pm).
Tickets are between £9-£20 depending on whether you want a full or half day. There is a
full programme of events with performers including The Iberian Folk Dance Group, Hilal Egyptian Dance, Fiona Howarth, Swing Patrol, and Camden Clog. You'll see dance forms from countries such as France, China, Hungary, as well as the Maori culture.
If you would like to learn a different type of dance for yourself, then there will be workshops in morris dancing, Cajun dancing, the samba, Appalachian, Polish dance, and more.
