As far as 'socially distanced' gigs go, they don't come much more distanced than Dan Whitehouse's forthcoming gig - as he'll be nearly 6,000 miles away from most of his audience!
Black Country musician Dan released his latest album, Dreamland Tomorrow, back in the spring, during the first 2020 lockdown.
The double-album was recorded with John Elliott of The Little Unsaid and Boo Hewerdine, among others, and is divided into two very distinct portions: the first (Dreamland), experimental and using electronic textures; and the second (Tomorrow), featuring the more 'traditional' acoustic singer/ songwriter material for which Dan made his name.
The release is his third for Reveal Records - who are also home to such artists as Eddi Reader, Lau and Joan As Police Woman - and has seen reviewers compare Dan to both David Bowie and Scott Walker!

Dan had planned to support the release of Dreamland Tomorrow with a series of live shows throughout the year - including an autumn tour.
But Covid-19 has forced the cancellation of all his live/ venue-based shows - a predicament not helped by the fact that he was actually in Japan when the worldwide pandemic hit.
And he's still there!
Hence being 6,000 miles away from his core fanbase.
But thanks to Zoom, he'll be performing a very special live show on Friday 27 November 2020 at 9pm (UK time).
"I'll be singing as the sun rises here in Japan," says Dan.
Since releasing the album in May, Dan has also composed an acclaimed and very contemporary sounding new score to Charlie Chaplin's silent comedy The Vagabond - a project commissioned by Birmingham Comedy Festival.
The Vagabond is available to stream for free via the festival's YouTube channel - or watch below.
