The Tower of London has created a new adult educational series called Curious Connections which is aimed specifically at historians and experts who want to look at modern issues by exploring the stories from the past. At the moment, Curious Connections is focussing on World War One, and has two events line-up.
'War and Friendship' is a contemporary debate with a panel of distinguished guests, such as Thomas Dixon, Michael Bond, Yeoman Warder, and Andy Merry. On the 27th October they will discuss how soldiers maintain their relationships during war by comparing the those who served in World War One, to those who serve today. Tickets are £7 or £6 for members.

Then on the 1st November, a study day titled 'The Tower and the First World War' gives participants a chance to examine diaries, letters, and objects of the people who lived and worked at the Tower, as well as the official and personal records of the of the Fusilier battalions/ Tickets are £26 or £24 for members.
