Definitely a fun thing to do on a Saturday afternoon, whatever the weather. I took my friend here as a little treat for her Birthday and we really did have a brilliant time. Don't go there expecting to make the cupcakes, as they come ready made but on entering the The Peacock venue about a two minute walk from Clapham Junction station, we were greeted by a very friendly lady who gave us a glass of champagne and escorted us to sit on the "shabby chic" sofas of the bar.
In front of us were tables of icing, sweets and chocolate and towers of yummy vanilla cupcakes. It took a lot of will power not to reach out and pinch one there and then. The class was an hour in total and I did go a bit overboard and decorated about 15 cupcakes before being told we were only allowed to take six home. So remember that. Make the most of six to make them as delicious as possible. You also get given a box to take them home in, but a point to add, if you are clumsy like me, just be careful. I proceeded to drop mine on my way home and even though they tasted pretty good... let's just say the pretty flowers and hearts that I originally decorated them with resembled something that you probably wouldn't want to put in your stomach.
The class cost £35 per person so they are quite pricey; however, I got a deal awhile back on KGB deals which were £35 for two people so keep an eye out for them. Or, you can buy a voucher via the site here.
