Cross Street Arts has been doing its thing since 1999, bringing a bit of creativity to the charming village of Standish, right on the edge of Wigan. Their mission? To open the doors (metaphorically and literally) to studio spaces and exhibition chances for professional artists while also making visual arts a bit more accessible to the rest of us. This year marks their 25th anniversary, which is like an impressive silver jubilee for an arts organisation, and to celebrate, they've got a whole year packed with events, workshops, and exhibitions that aim to show just how vibrant and lively their community really is.

Now, onto the fun bit: they're rolling out SPLIT 2, the sequel to a previously successful exhibition that was all the rage at Hypha Studio Art Space in Wrexham. This show is like an artistic road trip featuring works from over 60 talented artists enrolled in the Turps Correspondence Course 24/25 from places all over the UK, Eire, Europe, Scandinavia and even the USA. It's a rare chance to soak in a fantastic blend of creativity right here in the North West. So, if you fancy a bit of culture, park your car, grab a mate, and swing by for a gander at some seriously good art. Just remember, the exhibition runs from 26th April to 7th June, and it's open Thursday to Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm – don't forget to book your spot, or you might just be left hanging outside like a kid without a ticket.
