You could easily walk past this place without recognising it - no, really. You have to know what you're looking for. If you walk down a little side street from the main drag of Fitzrovia's main thoroughfare you'll find a little square. Even then you need to look carefully. Look across the buildings for a sign that looks like a claw mark, once you've found it you're there - you've found Crazy Bear .

So why should you be so pleased with yourself about that? Well, simple really - this bar has won a list of awards as long as your arm, including the prestigious London newspaper The Evening Standard's Best Bar Of The Year award. It is quite simply one of those places you have to go when you're in this area.

Let's have a look why. First of all, the bar area . In the sumptuous bar area, there are the drinks - and all you need to do is to see how wide and varied the cocktail list is to see why it is so celebrated. There are so many cocktails that they are actually themed by spirit - as an example - there are at least 8 different types of Champagne cocktail...

Should you feel peckish, small plates of food are available while you sip, but should you need something a little more, there is the restaurant . Based around Japanese and other Asian influenced food, you can have many varieties of sushi, sashimi and dim sum dishes - with bento boxes available during the lunchtime hours.

Finally, should you want a bit more excitement - come on a Thursday to Saturday, when an impressive roster of dj's do their thing while you enjoy yourself.
