Get ready for a whimsical day at the , where Punch & Judy experts and puppeteers from near and far flock together like pigeons in the park. This playful gathering takes place in the delightful garden of St Paul's Church, right by the very spot where Samuel Pepys first spotted Mr Punch in all his slapstick glory back in May 1662. Who knew a simple puppet could kick off such a long-standing tradition?

The fun kicks off at 11am with a lively Grand Procession led by the Superior Brass Band, because what's a puppet fest without a bit of musical flair? By noon, you'll want to settle in for a Special Church Service that's a bit different—Mr Punch will be holding court in the pulpit. After that, it's all about the shows, stalls, workshops, folk music, and good old maypole dancing. You'll find not just the big names like the British Puppet and Model Theatre Guild and The Punch & Judy Fellowship, but also some lovely local groups including the Covent Garden Community Association. Don't miss out; the puppets are all set to pack up and leave by 5.30pm, and we wouldn't want you to miss the magic.
