What better time to have a laugh than at Christmas. So, with that cheerful thought in mind, the award-winning Lichfield based Comedy 42 live stand-up show is making a festive return to the Staffordshire city with a much anticipated Christmas special . Comedy 42, which previously enjoyed a long run at the Lichfield Garrick theatre, is now settling into a new venue - The Spirit Works - where the Christmas special will take place on Sunday 16th December.



Wherever the location, Comedy 42 has always prided itself on bringing some of the best comedians from around the world, as well as home-grown talent across the UK, to Lichfield. Comedy lovers can anticipate another hilarious pun-filled show at The Spirit Works on December 16 when the line-up includes not one, but two headline acts. They consist of Matt Price, described as a human joke machine, and the BBC's Vince Atta who uses a multi-track looper and pedals to create live on-the-spot Hip-Hop/Reggae/Techno which he fuses with natural stand-up, storytelling and characters. The line-up will be completed by Hannah Silvester, a former English Comedian of the Year finalist, while regular host Chris Purchase will once again be knitting their individual comedic talents into a seamless night of live stand-up.
