One thing that I am starting to miss from my Melbourne homeland is — you probably guessed it — the coffee. Now lets get this out of the way right from the start, I am not a 'coffee snob', you know those people who are constantly talking about 'filters and 'tasting notes' but I feel like I know a good coffee when I taste one and Antipode makes the good stuff.

The staff were very welcoming and genuine. For a little hole in the wall cafe the atmosphere was enjoyable. The only down side for me was no seating with back support; now that I've hit 30 I find I really appreciate that in my life.

I had the salmon, avocado and feta on sourdough and a soy latte. I sat there for a couple of hours writing and felt comfortable to do so. The staff did not approach me and ask me to make another order and give me the look which seems to state 'you've been here for too long now'.

Side notes:
- they don't accept 50 pound notes
- they only do eggs one way: fried

Antipode was recommended to me by an Australian friend. It currently has a rating of 3.7 on zomato
