Stepping into a French patisserie is heaven. The aromas and the colours are inviting and visually the décor is fairytale inspired. Cocomaya is one such place.

Located in three locations around the immediate outskirts of Hyde Park, Cocomaya is the brainchild of two highly influential fashionistas who took their love of chocolate and pastry to the next level and opened up a contemporary store that is loved by all.

When you enter Cocomaya the options are overwhelming and include a selection of sweet and savoury. An afternoon sugar hit is always ideal, so it is best to opt for their Seasonal Fruit Crumble Brioche. The strawberry one is a delight and available on most days. I imagine it is a successful purchase as there always appears to be minimal quantities available within half an hour of the store opening.

For drinks they serve your standard coffee, teas and a selection of juices. A newbie that I had not seen was the West Africa Mango Nectar. Tantalising to the tastebuds with a rich mango taste I highly recommend one of these to accompany your pastry selection.

At Cocomaya you get what you pay for, so be sure to come with some 10 to 20 quid to broaden your choices.
