Edinburgh is a fascinating city with a myriad of places to see, streets to explore and ancient traditions to admire. If you find yourself in this historical city with a sweet craving, a need for a warm drink to wrap your hands around or simply a place to rest your legs after hours of exploring, head to and experience true Scottish hospitality.

is located in the heart of Edinburgh on Canongate Street. The quaint and cosy venue features a small tearoom and a tiny kitchen, the decor is old school but very charming, everything is served in an array of mismatched fine porcelain, lace table cloths and fresh flowers on the tables, and a little classical music can be heard in the background. It is the perfect spot to recharge your energies with a traditional Scottish morning or afternoon tea, or as the locals call it - cream tea (freshly made scones, served with cream, butter, jam and a pot of tea).

When you enter this little tearoom and even from the street, the first thing you will notice is the cake display. Set up on an old Victorian washstand, fresh cakes, loaves, scones and sandwiches are presented on a variety of mismatched cake stands and platters. Choices change regularly so no matter how often you visit, there is always something new and mouthwatering.

For those with larger appetites, also offers a breakfast and lunch menu. Prices are very reasonable for such a convenient location, the quality of the food is very good and the service is casual, warm and hospitable.

Highly recommended: cream tea service, fresh or fruit scones, Bakewell tarts, Victoria sponge and of course the Scottish shortbread.
