Stunning Acrobatics At The Royal Albert Hall
Cirque du Soleil is the most famous touring circus in the world. They started off as a small Canadian troupe in 1984 and since then have been entertaining people around the world with their outstanding performances.
Now Cirque du Soleil have come to London with their brand new show, KOOZA. The name comes from the Sanskrit word 'koza' meaning 'box', 'chest' or treasure. Essentially, they are a circus in a box, travelling from city to city. Any pirate would be thrilled to open this box of treasure.
They will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall until the 10th February with tickets costing between £20.50 - £80.50 for general viewing, but you can also get VIP Rouge tickets at £199 for adults or £140.50 for children. This includes choice of seats, free parking, hors d'oeuvres, fine wines & dessert, a souvenir guide, private restrooms, terrace and coat check, and access to the VIP Rouge suite before the show and during the intermission. Starting times are 3:00pm, 3.30pm, 7.30pm, and 8pm
There will also be an exclusive charity event on the 14th February, in which all the proceeds will go to Oxfam. These tickets are between £30-£90.
KOOZA returns to the origins of Cirque du Soleil, combining the two circus traditions of acrobatics and clowning with spectacular special effects to create a truly electrifying atmosphere. Follow the journey of The Innocent melancholy loner, who has been swept away into the realm of KOOZA by a charming Trickster. As you join his search for a place in this strange new world you will meet a whole host of comic characters from the bombastic King of Fools and his clown courtiers to a strange creature that lives beneath the stage.
Amongst all the slapstick humour will be a myriad of acrobatic awesomeness. From contortionists to the high wire, these skilled performers are master of balance and poise. The show will the come to a grande finale which will have you on the edge of your seats as they enter the Wheel of Death.
