Fiddle player Adam Summerhayes and accordionist Murray Grainger, aka The Ciderhouse Rebellion , have joined forces with Irish singer Molly Donnery for a short tour that visits Birmingham's Kitchen Garden Café on December 5, 2022.

The gigs are the first of a new series of "Cider with…" collaborations, shows that feature traditional folk tunes like Mo Bhuachaillín Donn and Murphy's Running Dog intimately interpreted in The Ciderhouse Rebellion's unique improvisatory style.



Adam and Murray specialise in creating music in the moment, based on traditional tunes or their own compositions – often springing from a single note, key, time signature or emotion. They say their aim is to create music with no conscious thought between conception and playing – always searching for the unexpected and the possibility to create a deep sonic narrative that transports the audience.

Both are recognised virtuoso musicians in their own right, touring the world as professional artists. Although the pair only started working together in 2020, they have already released four celebrated albums, won Arts Council support, been featured on Folk on Foot, scored a BBC Radio 4 play and played significant festivals across the UK and Europe.

The duo also perform with Molly in traditional music outfit The Haar , alongside percussionist Cormac Byrne.
