Chant Down Babylon, and Chow Down Pig

Over the May Bank Holiday, The Water Poet pub will will become The Cider Poet, as it celebrates an extra day off with a festival highlighting that glorious fruit, the apple.

Give in to the the fruit of temptation on the 25th & 26th May, when you discover these crunchy, crisp delights in any pub goer's favourite liquid form: cider. From traditional scrumpy to new funky flavours, the barn will be overflowing with the best brewers from around the UK. Try Borough Market's New Forest ciders, the Welsh purists' Hallets, a fruity Annings from the West Country, or a Scottish Thistly Cross.

It is never a good idea to drink without eating anything, so to compliment, there will be a hog roasting on the spit in the beer garden.

While your lazing on a hay bale with a drink in one hand, and pig in the other, relax to the tunes of live reggae music. Can you think of a better way to spend the Bank Holiday?
