It has to be one of the must-have additions to anyone's Christmas decorations. And now people living in the Lichfield area of Staffordshire will be able to learn how to make one of those all-important Christmas wreaths - essential for front doors everywhere.
Beacon Park in the centre of the historic cathedral city of Lichfield is playing host to a couple of Christmas wreath workshops where visitors will be able to learn how to create beautiful festive wreaths in the run-up to the big day on December 25th.
Two days of Christmas wreath workshops will be held on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th December, running each day from 10am to 12 noon and 2pm to 4pm. Taking place in Beacon Park's Discovery Hub, participants will use a variety of locally sourced greenery to make a wreath, including adding festive embellishments, including pine cones, cinnamon sticks and slices of dried orange. To help with the wreath-making process, mince pies and hot drinks will be served at the Discovery Hub, making the workshops a truly festive event.
Councillor David Leytham, Cabinet Member for Leisure at Lichfield District Council, said: "
A handmade wreath is a special addition to any home at Christmas, so book your place on one of the four festive sessions to learn a new skill." Places cost £15 each and need to be booked in advance by calling Beacon Park on 01543 308867 or by emailing
