Christmas at Westfield London Shopping Centre

When it gets to this time of year, everyone is counting down the days until Christmas. But while the kids seem to think it is taking far too long to arrive, the grown-ups think it is coming all too quickly. It is a race to the finish line to get all those preparations sorted, and time waits for no man.
Westfield Shopping Centre , however, does. The London branch has extended its opening hours in order to give customers that little extra time they may need to any last minute shopping done. You can save even more time by asking for a
handsfree shopping service from the concierge desk. No need to laden yourself down like a pack mule.; for £10 you can buy a passport book, which you show to cashiers in the shop. Leave your bags with them, and they will take it all to your car or a designated pick up point for you to collect, once you have finished.
One of the most traditional Christmas gifts (and sometimes the most dreaded) is a knitted jumper. Not wanting to spoil tradition, Westfield Shopping Centre has designated a special
Jumper Day on the 13th December. Somewhat more fashionable than the ones Granny knits, there will be a jumper auction to raise funds for Save The Children. Donations have been made by Wool and the Gang, a British brand that has been knitting jumpers for the event. These jumpers have then been customised by leading designers such as Alexander McQueen, Anya Hindmarch, Burberry Matthew Williamson, and others. The event is unique, in that the person who wins the auction is the person who correctly guess lowest bid.
Moving away from jumpers, try spicing up your Christmas with some new looks by
Vogue. You can pick up a free fashion guide from the valet parking desk, and watch behind the scenes footage of a
Vogue photoshoot. New styles include metallic tailoring, alternative textures, and electric colour palettes.
Have a look out for The Christmas Cracker Shop on the ground floor. The family owned business has been running for twenty-three yers, and has popped-up at Westfield until the 24th December. They sell festive decorations such as wreaths, tree ornaments, nativity sets, and music boxes.
.
There is more to Christmas than just shopping. Westfield Shopping Centre will also be holding a host of
activities for both adults and children. For example, there will be food tasting carts, live music, and a champagne evening. Local schools will be entering a choir competition, and families can go
ice skating up until the 5th January.
If you want to find a way for the kids to stop counting down the days, then you can deliver Christmas early with a unique and magical visit to
Santa's Grotto . The elves have made Santa's home out of candy cane, and organised a personalised 5D animated storytelling adventure, in which each child's name will appear in the story about Elbow the Elf.
