Travel back to the 19th century to meet Santa

If you were going to visit Santa, where is the first place you'd go? A Winter Wonderland park, perhaps, maybe a shopping centre or a department store? There's also Hamleys toy shop. There are lots of possibilities, but most people probably wouldn't say, 'I know, I'll take the kids to a museum.' Well, it's time to start thinking a little differently, because The Museum of London have four fun family activities over the Christmas period, including a visit from Santa Claus.
Victorian Sant's Grotto
When: 2nd-3rd, 8th-10th,15th-23rd December Cost: £10 Age: 1-7
Travel back in time to the Victorian era to meet Father Santa in his festive 19th-century grotto. Tell him your wishes and receive a special gift. Bookings required in advance.
Festive Holiday Fun
When: 16th-17th, 20th-23rd December Cost: Free Age: 5
Fun and educational, learn about how London celebrated Christmas in the past by helping to create a giant frost fair scene. Make your own decoration, play Victorian parlour games, and find out about the spices used to make a Christmas pudding.
A Christmas Carol

Festive Story Time
