From plays to concerts, the Southbank centre is the venue for all your Christmas entertainment needs. There are shows for adults, for families, and for kids. Get a look at the line up:

9th December, 7.30pm

Tickets £14.50-£44



The London Chorus Orchestra will perform Handel's Messiah by candlelight. This will be followed by the Mozart Festival orchestra in 18th century costume.

The National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain

9th December, 2.30pm & 7.30pm

Tickets £10-£18, £12-£20



An orchestra of talented children under 13 will perform Christmas Carols such as 'O Come, All ye Faithful' and ' Hark! the Herald Angels Sing'. Then in the evening, they will continue with symphonies by Berlioz and Fauré.

Gamelan Christmas Chimes

9th December, 1pm

If you fancy getting something for nothing, why not go to the free Christmas Chimes concert, performed by a Gamelan ensemble of musicians from Java? They will play the chimes and a large gong.

The Sixteen's Christmas Concert

10th December, 7.30pm

Tickets £8-£36



A performance of the music by great Flemish composers Josquin, Mouton, and Lassus. The concert will explore old and new interpretations of classic Christmas themes in the form of lullabies, a testimony to the virgin mother, and Herod's response to the threat of the baby Jesus. There will be a post-Christmas Carol event at 9.15,which is free to attend.

Slava's Snowshow

17th December - 7th January



Tickets between £20-£65

A show that will leave you knee-deep in snow, Slava's Snowshow is a heartwarming funny tale set in a dream-like world. Suitable for 8s and over.

On the 6th January at 2.30pm there will be an audio descriptive performance, which will be preceded by at 1.30pm.
