Even though I was aware of the meaning of the Christmas jumper tradition to Britain, I just got my eyes on it properly when I've watched that famous Bridget Jones' Diary scene where she meets Mark Darcy and seemed to be disappointed with his sweater with a reindeer pattern.
Mr Darcy didn't seem embarrassed at his entire festive outfit and the whole country should follow his example! Christmas Jumpers are fashion and thanks to the Save Children "Christmas Jumper Day" campaign, you can wear yours for a good cause as well!
This week I have spotted the Bull showing off his festive jumper at Bullring. It's your turn to get yours from the wardrobe!
And for those who didn't' find the right one, here is the list of best places to find gorgeous Christmas jumpers in Birmingham.
5- Urban Outfitters Everyone who is passing by New Street (on Corporation Street to be more precise) has to stop there in some point. What I really enjoy about Urban Outfitter is the range of different ideas. Love their creativeness and the Christmas jumpers can be a bit pricey over there but it's easy to find a different and very retro jumper easily.
4- New Look: At any shop and any part of West Midlands it's possible to find Christmas Jumper at New Look. Love all patterns and the price is outstanding. With less than 20 quid you can get yours. It's true that it may be the same as the one your best friend is thinking about buying but there is nothing wrong about sharing a good taste in jumpers in December!
3- Crazy Granny What I love about this shop is the fact I can find Christmas jumpers for all members of the family. Children, adult, elderly! It's the paradise of the knitwear! And you can find some of their jumpers at Selfridges in Bullring.
2- Urban Village: Vintage Christmas jumpers are all what we need! And Urban Village, placed in Digbeth is the right shop to fill up your Christmases. Not to mention that together with a jumper you can treat yourself with that vinyl wanted for ages!
1-We are Cow: Top 1 for one single reason: it doesn't need to be December to find a Christmas jumper there. Seriously! Since I have visited this shop, I always have spotted wicked sweaters. For the Christmas or any season. No doubt Cow it's a winner!
