Are you a fan of all things food and festivities? The returns to Edinburgh next month and as the UK's biggest celebration of food and drink, promises a fun-filled line up.
Created in Edinburgh in 2006 by Sue Hitchen, the festival returns to the capital true to its founding aim of providing a fun family event which celebrates local food and provides Michelin Star-rated and top chefs with a platform to present their food to an audience.
Running from the 24-26th November, Foodies Festival will take place in the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. So, what can you expect from the Festival this festive season? Headlining the Chef's Theatre will be
Masterchef winners and stars from
Great British Menu, as well as top Scottish chefs who will be cooking up their favourite festive dishes. Over in the Desserts Theatre you'll find
Great British Bake Off winners as well as top patisserie chefs who will be whipping up cakes and bakes. If you aren't full up after that, head over to Street Food Avenue to sample foods from around the world, or nibble on award winning treats in Pudding Hall.
If that isn't enough, there will be a range of masterclasses, including a Wine and Champagne masterclass in the Drinks Theatre. After all, it's not all about the food! Enjoy a delightful selection of craft beer, or head over to Gin Alley if that's more your style. Enjoy your food and drink at the Live Music stage which will be showcasing the best of unsigned Scottish bands as well as Christmas Carols.
This is a family friendly event where kids can enjoy events such as Elf's Cookery School.
Pay a little more for a VIP ticket and you can enjoy a luxury VIP area and benefits such as a vintage tea room and a Champagne Ski Bar. Sounds fun! The Festival has grown in popularity since 2006 and can now be found in cities all over the UK, check out more at
