During December, The Royal Albert Hall is hosting a truly fantastic schedule of festive events , so good they are officially calling it their Christmas Festival.

You really have to hang out over on their site to get the full picture, but as I know you're tight on time today, I'll pick out some crackers for you...

There is the Celebrating Christmas with The Salvation Army on November 27th. It's their annual celebration, with lots of music from their staff band.

Then there is Jools Holland and Marc Almond showing off with their boogie boogie party nights on Nov 28/29th.

In early Dec there is the John Lewis Partnership Concert (without penguins) on (Dec 1st), and the Christmas with TV Stars concert. Stars include Deborah Meaden, Graeme Le Saux, professionals from Strictly Come Dancing, (not this year silly ...from 1982, Andrew Castle and Jill Halfpenny) on 9th Dec.

One that might entice the younger crowd is a performance of Danny Elfmans Music from the films of Tim Burton on Dec 12th at 5.30pm and 9.30pm.

The show that we are all excited about is the Christmas Carol Singalong on Sat 13th Dec at 4.45pm. A good way to entertain the in-laws if you are looking to impress, or just avoid opening another bottle of sherry at home.

Get warmed up and practise your solo now, here are some of the classics that you'll hear on the night :Let it Snow • O Little Town of Bethlehem • Jingle Bells • The Twelve Days of Christmas • Mary's Boy Child • Sleigh Ride • Merry Christmas Everyone • Frosty the Snowman • I Wish it Could be Christmas Every Day • Santa Claus is Coming to Town • Once in Royal David's City and Merry Christmas Everybody.

Even if you were the back-end of the donkey in the nativity, now is your chance to make up for it, and sing your heart out, in good company of around 5000 other merry folk.

PS. I expect full harmony from those sopranos out there, you know who you are.

The sing-a-long also takes place on:

Saturday 13 December, 1:30pm
Thursday 18 December, 2:30pm
Saturday 20 December, 1:30pm
Saturday 20 December, 4:45pm
Tuesday 23 December, 2:30pm
