Head over to Dyrham Park this festive season and grab a little time travel with your mulled wine. Imagine wandering through a house decked out to showcase Christmas traditions from the cozy Tudor era right up to the vibrant 1980s. As you stroll, keep an eye out for the reindeer trail, twinkling trees, and a giant selfie wreath that is basically begging for your best holiday poses.
On weekends, you can revel in the sound of choirs filling the church with festive tunes while you contemplate getting crafty at wreath-making workshops. Don't forget to pop into the National Trust shop for those questionable but charming decorations, cards, and gifts that only a holiday season could inspire. And if you find yourself in need of a sugar fix, treat yourself to a mince pie in the tea-room or at the café in the Old Lodge. Dyrham Park is open daily from November 21 to January 5, just not on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Entry is as easy as pie—just show up anytime between 10 AM and 4 PM, though you'll want to get there before 3 PM for the last entry. Regular admission fees apply, but National Trust members get in for free, no reservation needed.
