If you're in or around Nottingham on 28th November 2024 and fancy a night of smooth tunes, head over to Peggy's Skylight for some live jazz with the Chris Bowden Quartet. Doors open at 7pm, giving you just enough time to grab a drink and tell all your mates about a certain saxophonist named Julian "Cannonball" Adderley. Chris will be channeling the spirit of Adderley while playing tracks from the iconic 1958 album Somethin' Else. So, if you appreciate a bit of history alongside your music, you're in for a treat.

Chris Bowden, who's already got a stack of albums to his name, from Time Capsule to The Hypnos Files, isn't just any musician—he's been rubbing elbows with some serious jazz heavyweights. Think Flora Purim and 4 Hero, and you've got a flavour of his musical past. With a line-up of talented mates ready to jam, including Paul Deats on piano and Andy "Woody" Wood on drums, they're set to deliver a performance that's probably going to beg the question: why would anyone want to miss out on this?
