Let me start by saying I hate buffets. Milling around like cattle is not something I'm keen on, nor do I enjoy seeing others feast on the same food, queue and serve themselves. I find it quite abhorrent.
Today, I was invited to a lunch with work. I asked someone on the editorial team where we were going and I was informed it was a Thai buffet-style restaurant. My heart sunk, but I kept tight-lipped and made a mental note to stick to rice.

Inside
I needn't have bothered fretting, the restaurant was lovely. And that's not a word I'd use to describe a buffet-serving venue. Chom Chom, however, was exactly that.
Inside it's a dark, sleek restaurant with black marble flooring, clean lines and napkins on each table
They serve Voss bottled water, a sign of a proper restaurant in my eyes because Nordic water is some of the best available. More importantly, the food was delicious.

Panang curry and steamed vegetables
I feasted on an array of steamed vegetables, aloo gobi, penang chicken and pad thai.
I was absolutely stuffed and the staff kept on top of our used plates. After my third serving I happily sat with my colleagues whilst they downed bowls of ice cream, which again comes in a serve yourself Mr Whippy-esque machine.
For £12.00 a head, it certainly isn't bad, in fact, it's the best Thai I've had in Beckenham.
