Saddle up for the Year of the Horse
Join in the celebrations for the Chinese New Year, along with the throng of thousands of people gathering in the West End to wish each other "Kung Hei Fat Choi".
The Year of the Horse, the seventh sign of the Chinese zodiac, officially begins on 31 January 2014.
The main New Year festivities will be held on Sunday, 2 February, in central London, taking in Trafalgar Square, Chinatown and Shaftesbury Avenue.
The event starts with a parade along Charing Cross Road and Shaftesbury Avenue from around 10am. The main stage in Trafalgar Square will feature visiting artists from China.
There will also be performances of the traditional lion dance around Chinatown, local artists on stage at the end of Dean Street and traditional food and craft stalls. All these outdoor events are free to attend.
