Free Child and Family Online Dance Classes

Birmingham-based DanceXchange is offering a new programme of free online dance classes for young people and their families.



Fun weekly sessions take place every Thursday and will cover a range of styles from contemporary to break dancing and musical theatre moves until May 14.

Aimed at children up to the age of 11 of all abilities - and their families - the energetic classes are 30 minutes long and streamed live from 4pm each Thursday on DanceXchange's Facebook page.

Here is what you will be able to tune into over coming weeks:

THURSDAY 30 April / 4pm – Contemporary with Chris Radford

An explosive, joyful contemporary experience with Afro-fusion influences. Sure to make you smile and sweat!

THURSDAY 7 May / 4pm – Breakin with Jamaal O'Driscoll

Try a variety of movement and steps, from the hip hop style of Breakin. Sequence together foundational steps involving Toprock, Go-Downs, Footwork patterns, and finish off with a Freeze to tell a story.



THURSDAY 13 May / 4pm – Musical Theatre with Katie Row

A high energy session full of fun with a focus on the smash-hit musical Matilda.
