King's Heath independent business wouldn't be the same without York Road shops. It's probably the most vibrant part of this gorgeous suburb of Birmingham with shops, cafés and restaurants to spoil for choice.

Even if you're not interesting in spending some money, it's always inviting to spend some time in the area. The hospitality of the local community, together with some cultural (free) events such as music alive in the street makes you pop up to York Road now and then.

What else make me visit King's Heath is the little, cosy and trendy café and bar Cherry Reds . It's certainly one of the independent shops more visited at York Road.

Belgian fruit beer,a very popular choice at Cherry Reds

Cherry Reds caters for a public interested in its wonderful selection of drinks, which includes international fruit beers such as Liefman's mixed fruit beer, a delicious and fresh Belgian beer. Well popular with the heat wave that arrived here this July, with seats and live music sessions outside, it's impossible to not stop in at Cherry Reds.

Their cocktails are also inviting. Jamaica-me Crazy is certainly a drink to be tried. Ales and ciders for all tastes are also available.

Food has very special treat at Cherry Reds; from vegan breakfast to gorgeous cupcakes and sandwiches, everything has a special touch that make the differential in this fine indie establishment.

Cherry Reds is one of those places to visit for any reason because there is always something new to find out about it. Once in York Street, in King's Heath, give it a chance. No regrets!
